Hangzhou, China, July 28, 2026: India's Esha Singh produced a commanding performance to win the Women's 25m Pistol title at the ISSF World Cup Hangzhou 2026 on Monday, July 27, the International Shooting Sport Federation reports.
Singh finished three hits clear of China's Zhang Yueyue after leading the final from the opening series. India’s Paris 2024 Olympic hero Manu Bhaker took the bronze.
Singh wasted no time establishing herself at the front of the field. She opened with five hits in the first series and never relinquished the lead, steadily extending her advantage as the eliminations progressed. By the closing stages, Singh had built an unassailable margin, sealing the gold medal with 40 hits.
The victory marks another major achievement for the 20-year-old hot shot, who has established herself as one of India's brightest pistol talents. A multiple ISSF World Cup medallist and World Championship medallist, Singh once again demonstrated her ability to deliver under pressure on the international stage.
Behind her, Zhang delighted the home crowd with the silver medal. After a slower start, the Chinese athlete found her rhythm midway through the final, climbing into second place and finishing with 37 hits to secure China's place on the podium.
The battle for bronze saw India's Manu Bhaker add another international medal to her illustrious career. The double bronze medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games remained in contention throughout the final before finishing with 28 hits. The podium finish adds to an already remarkable résumé that includes World Championship titles, Asian Games gold medals and numerous ISSF World Cup victories.
