Hong Kong, China, July 27, 2026: The unstoppable wave of summer sports reached its peak as the final enhanced event of the 69th Festival of Sport, the “VRC Wave and Aim Summer Festival”, was held at the Victoria Recreation Club – Emerald Bay in Sai Kung on Saturday, July 25.
The event - part of the annual festival organised by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China - attracted enthusiastic participation from members of the public and families alike.
Filled with joy and energy, it offered participants a refreshing and memorable experience in a vibrant summer atmosphere.
The festival brought together a variety of emerging and popular water sports, including canoe polo, dragon boating, outrigger canoeing and stand-up paddleboard polo.
Under the guidance of professional coaches, participants had the chance to try different activities and experience both the excitement and challenges of water sports firsthand. In addition, the festival featured an archery zone and a dedicated “Family Experience Zone”, ensuring that participants of all ages were well catered for.
Whether newcomers to water sports or outdoor enthusiasts, everyone was able to dive in and enjoy the day to the fullest.
Throughout the event, many parents joined their children in the activities. Some parents shared that the “VRC Wave and Aim Summer Festival” gave them a rare opportunity to explore water sports they seldom engaged in, describing the day as both fun and challenging.
Some participants also said that trying out different activities not only sparked their interest in water sports but also highlighted the importance of teamwork, making the festival a truly rewarding experience.
As the 69th Festival of Sport draws to a close, the finale event, “Sport for All Experience Day”, will be held at D·PARK in Tsuen Wan on Sunday, August 2. Featuring football and basketball challenges, the event invites the public to build regular exercise habits while sharing the joy of sport together.
