Nepal men’s kabaddi team train in India for 20th Asian Games

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 26, 2026: The Nepal national men’s kabaddi team left for Haryana, India for an intensive two-month training camp in preparation for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

 

 

The camp began last week and will go on until September 15, four days prior to the start of the 20th Asian Games on September 19.

 

 

Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha and the NOC leadership gave the kabaddi athletes a send-off at the NOC headquarters. Also attending the ceremony was the President of the All Nepal Kabaddi Association, Ms. Tulsi Thapa.

 

 

NOC President Shrestha urged the athletes to perform with pride and determination, and encouraged them to give their utmost. He also lauded the athletes for their years of dedication, discipline and hard work, and also praised the contribution made by the coaches, officials and the families. 

 

 

Nepal have been drawn with Iran, Pakistan, Thailand and Malaysia in Group B of the men's kabaddi competition at Aichi-Nagoya.
