Philippines announces team for Dakar 2026 YOG

Manila, Philippines, July 22, 2026: The Philippine Olympic Committee has introduced its team members for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal later this year.

The Philippines will be represented in six sports - athletics, swimming, cycling, artistic gymnastics, wushu and sailing - at the YOG, which will run from October 31 to November 13.

“The future of Philippine sports is here,” the POC says in a social media post.

“Meet the rising stars representing Team Pilipinas at the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026.

“These world-class young athletes will carry the flag in Senegal, competing against the best in the world across six different sporting events. Let us give our full support to our Dakar 2026 Youth Olympians.”

The team is:

Athletics: ⁠Pi Durden Wangkay (Men's 200M), ⁠Naomi Marjorie Caesar (Women's 800M).

Aquatics: ⁠Riannah Chantelle Coleman (Women's 100M Breaststroke), ⁠Jamesray Mishael Ajido (Men's 100M Butterfly)

Cycling:  ⁠Maritanya Krog (Women's Road Race & Individual Time Trial)

Artistic Gymnastics:  ⁠Hilarrion III Palles (Men's Artistic), ⁠Tchelzy Mei Maayo (Women's Artistic)

Wushu:  ⁠Angel Polo (Women's Taijiquan Combined)

Sailing (windsurfing): ⁠Jade Justiniane (Men's Windsurfing)
