Tashkent, Uzbekistan, July 22, 2026: The 9th Meeting of Ministers responsible for Youth and Sports of the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) was held as the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory in Tashkent last week.
The event was attended by Odil Abdurakhmanov, Presidential Advisor on Sports Affairs in Uzbekistan, and the leadership of the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
Also in attendance were Ministers from Kazakhstan, Turkiye, Azerbaijan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, the Consul of Hungary in Uzbekistan, and the Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The consensus at the meeting was the development and cooperation of youth and sports affairs among Turkic countries. All participants also highlighted the importance of organising joint training camps involving national teams ahead of major international competitions.
