Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 21, 2026: The logo, mascot and theme for the 34th SEA Games and 14th ASEAN Para Games Malaysia 2027 were officially launched by Y.B. Dr. Mohammed Taufiq Johari, Minister of Youth and Sports, at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya.
The prestigious launch event, which took place on July 13, marked the official commencement of Malaysia’s journey towards hosting Southeast Asia’s premier multi-sport games, which are scheduled to be held from September 18 to October 23, 2027 across four clusters: Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang and Johor.
The Olympic Council of Malaysia was strongly represented at this historic event in support of the grand unveiling. Leading the OCM delegation was Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria, President of OCM, President of the Southeast Asian Games Federation and OCA Vice President for the Southeast Asia Zone.
The newly unveiled identity centres around the official mascot named Tuah - a sleek and dynamic character inspired by the image of a modern, confident and approachable hero. Tuah symbolises the brave, positive and competitive spirit of Malaysia’s new generation while celebrating diversity as one of the nation’s greatest strengths.
Accompanying the mascot is the official theme, “Raikan Perpaduan/Celebrating Unity”, which was chosen to emphasise that unity remains the ultimate strength of both Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian community.
The official emblem incorporates six key design elements, each carrying a distinct meaning: the letter “M” representing Malaysia; the silhouette of an athlete in motion; the stylised number “27” denoting the year 2027; the national flower, Bunga Raya; the vibrant colours of the Jalur Gemilang; and an 11-ring motif crowning, representing the 11 Southeast Asian nations.
