Kuwait City, Kuwait, July 19, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia has announced that Indian wrestler Jaspreet Kaur has been disqualified from the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 following an Anti-Doping Rule Violation. Results management for the case was delegated by the OCA to the International Testing Agency.
An in-competition urine sample collected on April 29 returned an Adverse Analytical Finding for octodrine (1,5-dimethylhexylamine) and its metabolite heptaminol, both prohibited in competition under Section S6.B (Specified Stimulants) of the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.
The women’s beach wrestling athlete admitted the Anti-Doping Rule Violation and accepted the consequences under the OCA Anti-Doping Rules.
Accordingly, all competitive results obtained by the athlete at the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 from April 29, 2026 onwards are disqualified, with all resulting consequences, including the forfeiture of the bronze medal, points and prizes, and the readjustment of results, where applicable.
The ITA will now refer the case to United World Wrestling for any further action within its jurisdiction.
The OCA remains committed to protecting clean sport and promoting fair competition in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code.
