OCA delivers PMC session at wrestling youth camp

Guangzhou, China, July 15, 2026: The OCA continued its commitment to protecting the integrity of sport by delivering a Prevention of Competition Manipulation (PMC) education session during the OCA-United World Wrestling (UWW) Youth Development Camp on Tuesday, July 14.

The session was delivered jointly by Mr. Jamyang Namgyal, Athletes Department Manager of the OCA, who communicated via video link, and by Ms. Lei Liang, Development Manager of the United World Wrestling.

The session brought together young wrestlers aged 14 to 17 from across Asia, providing them with practical knowledge on safeguarding clean sport and helping them recognize the risks associated with competition manipulation from an early stage in their sporting careers.

During the presentation, athletes were introduced to the four fundamental rules of competition manipulation prevention:

· Don't Fix

· Don't Bet

· Don't Leak Information

· Always Speak Up and Report

Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, participants learned how individuals may attempt to influence athletes, the importance of protecting sensitive information, and the steps to take if they are ever approached or become aware of suspicious activity.

The session also highlighted that competition manipulation can affect athletes at any stage of their careers and reinforced the importance of making informed decisions that uphold the values of fair play, honesty and respect.

The OCA remains committed to educating athletes, coaches and officials across Asia on integrity-related matters through its Prevention of Competition Manipulation programme. By engaging young athletes through initiatives such as the OCA-UWW Youth Development Camp, the OCA continues to strengthen awareness and promote a culture where athletes have the confidence to reject unethical behavior and speak up to protect the integrity of sport.

The presentation took place in the main competition hall of the Guangzhou Polytechnic of Sports.
