Singapore, July 8, 2026: Team Singapore took part in the Commonwealth Games Flag Presentation Ceremony, marking the official send-off for athletes ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Singapore delegation of 53 athletes will compete across seven sports and nine disciplines at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games from July 23 to August 2.
“We are also delighted to announce Gan Ching Hwee (swimming) and Mawjit Singh (para bowls) as Team Singapore's flag bearers for the Opening Ceremony,” the Singapore National Olympic Council posted.
“Together, they represent the unity, resilience and inclusivity that define the Commonwealth Games, where able-bodied and para-athletes compete as one team.
“Many thanks to His Excellency Nik Metha, British High Commissioner to Singapore, for hosting the contingent at his residence. We are thankful for the warm hospitality extended to Team Singapore.”
Singapore athletes have participated in every edition of the Commonwealth Games since 1950.
“As our athletes prepare to write the next chapter of that legacy, we wish every member of Team Singapore the very best in Glasgow,” the SNOC added.
“Go forth with pride, courage and determination. Join us in cheering on Team Singapore as they fly our flag high on the Commonwealth stage.”
