Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, July 8, 2026: The two-day Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Riyadh 2026 came to an end on Wednesday morning at the Riyadh Hilton Hotel.
The first day of the seminar included a series of presentations from organising committee RAIMAGOC and venue visits to the Athletes’ Village at the Princess Nourah University and the Boulevard Riyadh City, where all 18 sports will be held in seven arenas during the December 13-21 AIMAG.
The second day brought more presentations from RAIMAGOC departments before the closing ceremony, followed by one-on-one sessions if needed between National Olympic Committee and department heads to discuss any remaining issues.
In summing up the seminar, the OCA’s Deputy Director General, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, urged NOC representatives to ask questions during the one-on-one meetings scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
“We will have the one-on-one sessions so ask questions and make sure you have all the answers you need. Get all the answers. Wish you all the best,” he said.
The second morning brought presentations from NOC Relations and Services, medical services and anti-doping, services for NOC Presidents and Secretary Generals at the Riyadh Hilton Hotel, ceremonies, transportation, logistics and media operations.
Other information:
*The first on-site Chefs de Mission meeting for AIMAG 6 is scheduled for December 10 (8am) at the Athletes Village.
*The International Testing Agency will decide which laboratory will be used to analyse the samples.
*The opening ceremony on December 13 and closing ceremony on December 21 will both be held indoors at the Ceremonies Arena at Boulevard Riyadh City and will start at 7.30pm.
*The transportation services will operate from December 4-25. The transport mall at the Athletes’ Village will be the main transport hub.
*The Media Centre will be located at Arena 1 in the Boulevard Riyadh City. Pre-opening will be December 8-10 and full services from December 11-21. There will also be a media centre in the Athletes’ Plaza at the Athletes’ Village.
The seminar ended on a joyous note when a birthday cake was brought into the hall for the OCA’s Deputy Director General, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, and the delegates joined together in singing happy birthday.
