Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, July 7, 2026: The Deputy Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, described the Chefs de Mission Seminar for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games as “an important milestone” on the road to Riyadh 2026.

Addressing delegates at the opening ceremony of the CDM Seminar at the Riyadh Hilton Hotel on Tuesday, July 7, Mr. Tiwari thanked the organising committee and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all their preparations.

“This CDM Seminar represents an important milestone in the preparations for the 6th AIMAG this December,” he said.

“It gives the opportunity for all stakeholders to come together and for all National Olympic Committees to make the best preparations for their delegations.

“The Chef de Mission plays a very important role, so your leadership and cooperation will be essential in delivering a successful Games.”

The OCA Deputy Director General also thanked all the technical experts for their input in putting together the sports programme for the 6th AIMAG, which will take place from December 13-21.

The CEO of the RAIMAGOC, Moneerah Alsudairy, said the CDM Seminar was a good opportunity for all the various departments to engage directly with the NOCs.

“The AIMAG represents Saudi Arabia’s continued support of the Olympic Movement. We look forward to your feedback, insights and continued collaboration,” she said.

Dr. Ghassan Tashkandi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Saudi Basketball Federation, thanked the NOC delegates for their commitment and stressed that collaboration was so important in the build-up to the Games.

The first morning took in presentations from accreditation and other departments. The ID cards will not serve as a visa to enter Saudi Arabia and pre-valid cards will not be issued. The Games Management System will be open from August 10 to September 17.
