AINAGOC inspired by energy and enthusiasm at Asian Games Fun Run in Hong Kong

Nagoya, Japan, June 29, 2026: The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games organising committee has highlighted the “energy and passion” of the people of Hong Kong, China for the upcoming 20th Asian Games in Japan.

The comments follow the Olympic Day/Asian Games Fun Run held at Hong Kong Science Park on Sunday, June 28.

“Around 3,000 participants gathered for the event. Despite the rainy weather, everyone set off with great energy and enthusiasm,” AINAGOC posted on social media.

“Many families joined the run, including young children who crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces, encouraged by warm cheers from fellow participants. It was a wonderful event that brought people of all ages together through the spirit of sport.”

On behalf of AINAGOC, Mr. Yasuhiro Nakamori presented Honohon, the official mascot of the 20th Asian Games, to Dr. Timothy Fok, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China.

“We were truly inspired by the energy, passion and vibrant spirit of the people of Hong Kong. We look forward to welcoming you to the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026,” AINAGOC added.

The Asian Games Fun Run is an OCA-led series of events across the continent, supported by AINAGOC and National Olympic Committees, to promote the 20th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4 in Japan.
