Amman, Jordan, June 29, 2026: The King of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II, praised the Jordan national football team for representing the country with honour at the FIFA World Cup.
In a post on the social media platform X, King Abdullah II said: “Our national team heroes, you have represented a noble face for Jordan and laid the foundation for future successes that we look forward to. The nation awaits you and is proud of you, for you are in the hearts of all Jordanians.
“And to the loyal Jordanian fans: you have reflected the most beautiful image of our nation, embodying true belonging. Jordan is stronger with its unity, more beautiful with its people, and greater with the love that unites its sons,” King Abdullah II added.
Jordan made its debut at the World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada. It lost all its group matches to Austria (3-1), Algeria (2-1) and Argentina (3-1).
