Tashkent, Uzbekistan, June 29, 2026: The National Olympic Committees of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have discussed prospects for closer cooperation during a high-powered meeting of senior officials earlier this month.
Ayvaz Omorkanov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic NOC and Vice President of the International Ice Hockey Federation, paid a visit to the Uzbekistan NOC headquarters in Tashkent where he met Otabek Umarov, First Vice President of the NOC, and Oybek Kasimov, NOC Secretary General.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation was discussed in detail and views were exchanged on further strengthening friendly relations between the two brotherly countries through sport.
Among the topics discussed were the implementation of joint projects like training camps with the participation of national teams in preparation for major international competitions, and exchanging experiences.
