Male, Maldives, June 28, 2026: The Maldives Olympic Committee held a fun-filled Olympic Day 2026 celebration at Henveiru Grounds east of the capital Male on Saturday, June 27.
The event brought together people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose through the universal language of sport.
Children participated in a number of sports which were demonstrated, among them athletics, cricket, chess, badminton, football and table tennis.
The Henveiru Grounds buzzed with energy as participants celebrated the Olympic ideals and embraced the joy of physical activity in an atmosphere of friendship and respect.
Among the dignitaries present were the President of the Maldives Olympic Committee, Mohamed Abdul Sattar, and Secretary General Thamooh Ahmed Saeed.
