Tokyo to open ticket sales for swimming/diving, equestrian at Asian Games

Nagoya, Japan, June 27, 2026: Sports fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the much-awaited sports events to be held in Tokyo during the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

 

The Japanese capital will host the swimming and diving competitions and equestrian events during the 20th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4 and organising committee AINAGOC is making tickets available at special booths next week.

 

The big opportunity will come on Tuesday, June 30 at Futako-Tamagawa Rise Galleria in Tokyo, where a 20th Asian Games/5th Asian Para Games commemorative event will be held.

 

There will be a demonstration of Asian Games sports, panel exhibition and a greeting by Asian Games mascot Honohon.

 

Additionally, in the evening, retired backstroke swimmer Ryosuke Irie, who won six gold and eight silver medals in five Asian Games appearances, will be a special guest at the official countdown to celebrate tickets going on sale to the general public. 

 

“Let's join the excitement together at the venue for the public sales starting at 5pm,” AINAGOC said.

 

“There is also a meet-and-greet ticket booth in the venue, so don't miss out and grab your tickets.

 

“Asian Games swimming and diving and equestrian tickets only are available.”

 

AINAGOC points out there is no need for members of the public to register for a cheer ID in order to buy tickets.

 

The programme will run from 1pm to 7pm on Tuesday, June 30.
