CTOC’s 4th Kids Games inspires 2,500 children in Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, June 24, 2026: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) hosted the 4th Kids Games at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center on June 13–14, welcoming 2,500 children aged 3 to 6 and their families for a weekend dedicated to sport and Olympic values.

Part of CTOC’s commitment to youth sports development, the event introduced children to the joy of physical activity through tailored programs.

This year’s expanded "13+1" lineup allowed participants to try 13 sports—including athletics, football, gymnastics, boxing and sailing—alongside a virtual sports zone showcasing innovative digital experiences.

The opening ceremony featured distinguished guests including Deputy Minister of Sport Huang Chi-Huang, Kaohsiung Deputy Mayor Lee Huai-Jen and CTOC President Tsai Chia-Fu.

Adding star power, Olympians Tai Tzu-Ying (badminton) and Chen Chieh (athletics) served as Sports Ambassadors, sharing their athletic journeys to inspire confidence and dream-chasing in the young participants.

Over the two-day event, children tackled skill-based challenges that emphasized teamwork, respect and fair play, providing families a unique bonding experience through sport.

"Introducing sports at an early age helps children discover their interests in a fun, inclusive environment," said CTOC President Tsai Chia-Fu.

The Kids Games has become a flagship CTOC initiative, reflecting its ongoing mission to promote grassroots sports, encourage a healthy lifestyle and inspire the next generation to stay active and dream big.
