Kerala, India, June 18, 2026: Honohon, the official mascot of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, arrived in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala on Wednesday, June 17, marking an historic promotional tour of the multi-sport event in Japan.
The mascot’s visit is directly tied to the upcoming Asian Games Fun Run on June 23, the day when International Olympic Day is celebrated. Honohon will anchor the celebrations.
The Kerala Olympic Association is currently hosting a public challenge encouraging sports fans to spot Honohon roaming around Trivandrum, snap a selfie and tag them on social media.
The promotional tour was inaugurated at Cotton Hill Government Higher Secondary School and flagged off by the Commissioner of Police of Thiruvananthapuram City, followed by a visit to Abraham Memorial Higher Secondary School, Thirumala where Honohon engaged with students and spread the spirit of the 20th Asian Games.
The continental showpiece will be held from September 19 to October 4 in Aichi-Nagoya.
