Malaysia NOC appoints two Asian Games champions as Deputy CDMs for Aichi-Nagoya 2026

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, June 13, 2026: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has announced the appointment of two Deputy Chefs de Mission for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, scheduled to be held from September 19 to October 4.

 

They are Mr. Mohamad Azlan Iskandar and Ms. Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi, who will support the Chef de Mission, OCM Vice President Dato’ Mohd Sumali Reduan.

 

Mohamad Azlan Iskandar rose to the pinnacle of continental squash by capturing a gold medal in the men’s singles and a silver medal in the men’s team event at the 16th Asian Games Guangzhou 2010. 

 

His outstanding track record at the Asian Games also includes two silver medals from the men's singles at the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 and the men’s team event at the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014, as well as a bronze medal in the men’s singles at the 14th Asian Games Busan 2002.

 

Ms. Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi is a former national tenpin bowling sensation who has consistently delivered outstanding performances for the nation on the international stage. She achieved remarkable success at the Asian Games by clinching a gold medal in the women’s trio and a silver medal in the women’s team of 6 at the 18th Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018.
