Lahore, Pakistan, June 11, 2026: World No. 3 T20 batter Sahibzada Farhan will captain the Pakistan men’s cricket team at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4.

The Pakistan Cricket Board named the 15-man squad on Wednesday, June 10, which also features new faces in Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood, all of whom are yet to make their T20I debuts.

Regular captain Salman Ali Agha, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan are among the high-profile names missing from Pakistan’s Asian Games squad.

Sahibzada Farhan, the leading scorer at the 2026 T20 World Cup with 383 runs at an average of 76.60, is a hard-hitting opener.

At the last Asian Games in Hangzhou, Pakistan finished fourth in the men’s competition. Pakistan won a bronze medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games when cricket made its debut.
