Bangladesh NOC to host 20th Asian Games Fun Run

Dhaka, Bangladesh, June 9, 2026: The Bangladesh Olympic Association will hold the 20th Asian Games Fun Run in Dhaka on Wednesday, June 10.

 

At a press conference on Tuesday, June 9, the BOA revealed details of the Fun Run to highlight and herald the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. It will be held in collaboration with the OCA and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee (AINAGOC).

 

Addressing the local media, BOA Secretary General Jubaidur Rahman Rana revealed details of the Fun Run which will be held around the Dhaka National Stadium with the medals and certificate ceremony to be held at the Dhaka Indoor Stadium.

 

“We are expecting more than 200 people from our sports federations as well as the public to join the Fun Run. It will be an early start – 7.30am – but we believe families will join the event which will last a maximum of 30 minutes. The BOA will also provide breakfast for all participants,” Jubaidur Rana said.

 

Also addressing the media was Jeans Zhou Jian, OCA Director of Media & Broadcast, and Toshikazu Honjo, Senior Manager of AINAGOC.

 

The 20th Asian Games will be held from September 19 to October 4. Athletes from all 45 National Olympic Committees in Asia will compete in 43 sports, 71 disciplines and 469 events.
