Dhaka, Bangladesh, June 9, 2026: The Bangladesh Olympic Association has praised the role of Raja Randhir Singh in “strengthening unity and promoting excellence” in Asia.
In a letter of condolence from the BOA to OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam dated June 4, Secretary General Md. Jubaidur Rahman writes: “The passing of Raja Randhir Singh is an immense loss to the Olympic and sporting movement in Asia.
“His visionary leadership, remarkable contributions and unwavering commitment to the development of sports and Olympism across the continent will always be remembered with profound respect and admiration.
“Through his dedicated service, he played a significant role in strengthening unity and promoting excellence within the Asian sporting community.
“At this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Olympic Council of Asia, his family, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of working with him. We pray that the Almighty grants eternal peace to his departed soul and gives strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.”
