Sheikh Joaan visits Raja Randhir Singh’s family to offer his condolences

New Delhi, India, June 7, 2026: H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, visited the family of the late Raja Randhir Singh, OCA Honorary Life President, in New Delhi to offer his condolences.

 

During the visit, Sheikh Joaan paid tribute to Raja Randhir Singh’s outstanding contribution to the Asian Olympic Movement.

 

Sheikh Joaan praised the former OCA President for his dedication, leadership and lifelong service to world sport, saying it would continue to inspire generations across the continent. 

 

Raja Randhir Singh, who passed away on May 27 at the age of 79, was a five-time Olympian and the first Indian to serve as OCA President. He was also an Honorary IOC Member.
