OCM President welcomes Bornan Sports Technology

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, June 7, 2026: Dr. Norza Zakaria, President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia, received a courtesy call from Bornan Sports Technology on Friday, June 5 at the office of NOC Malaysia.

Dr. Norza was accompanied by Mr. Abdul Rashid Yaakub, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia SEA Games Organizing Committee (MASOC); Mr. Mohd Yuzaidi Usop, Director of the Sports and Technical Division of MASOC; Mr. Mohamad Zamri Napiah, Head of Information Management Branch of the National Sports Council; Mr. Wan Hor Fong, Chief Executive Officer of NOC Malaysia; Mr. Norhashimi Hussain, General Manager of NOC Malaysia, and Mdm. Raimee Thepwarin, Special Officer of the President of NOC Malaysia.

 

Bornan Sports Technology, an international sports technology company driving the digital transformation of major sporting events worldwide, was represented by its Managing Director, Mr. Roberto Garcia Riopedre, who briefed the meeting on the experience and expertise of Bornan.

 

He also highlighted Bornan Sports Technology’s long-term strategic partnership with the OCA, under which the company serves as the exclusive IT and Digital Partner for all series of Asian Games and other OCA events.

 

Bornan Sports Technology presented its comprehensive Games Results Services (GRS), Games Management Services (GMS) and Digital Services, which could support the organisation of the 34th South East Asian Games, scheduled to be held from September 18-29, 2027 across four clusters: Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang and Johor.

 

“On behalf of NOC Malaysia and MASOC, we thank Bornan Sports Technology for presenting its proposed services. We will deliberate further to identify our operational requirements and assess the suitability of these services within our available budget,” said Dr. Norza, who also serves as Deputy Chairman I of MASOC and Chairman of the MASOC Sports and Technical Committee.

 

Dr. Norza is President of the South East Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) and Vice President of the OCA for South East Asia.
