OCA approves Virtual Taekwondo for Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games

Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 2, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia has approved the inclusion of Virtual Taekwondo in the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

With this addition, the Games programme currently comprises 43 sports, 71 disciplines and 469 events.

 

Virtual Taekwondo (VTKD) is a VR combat game that transcends physical limitations. It is proudly endorsed by World Taekwondo. By leveraging advanced motion tracking technology, the game breaks physical barriers, enabling realistic sparring in a non-contact, virtual environment.

 

The Asian Games will run from September 19 to October 4.
