Turkmenistan NOC mourns ‘truly exceptional figure’ Raja Randhir Singh

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, June 1, 2026: The First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, Allaberdi Saparov, has written to the OCA to express condolences on the passing of Raja Randhir Singh.

“His extraordinary contributions to sport, both in Asia and globally, have left an indelible mark on the Olympic Movement.

“Raja Randhir Singh’s remarkable dedication as an athlete, leader and visionary inspired generations of athletes and sports administrators. His achievements in shooting, his leadership roles within the Indian Olympic Association and the Olympic Council of Asia and his work with the International Olympic Committee stand as a testament to a lifetime devoted to the advancement of sport.

“We mourn the loss of a truly exceptional figure whose legacy will continue to inspire athletes and sports leaders across the world. Our thoughts are with his family, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies.”
