New Delhi, India, May 31, 2026: The Indian Olympic Association has congratulated Esha Singh, who clinched the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol with a stunning world record score of 43 at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, Germany.
“A moment of pride as Esha scripts history on the global stage with composure, precision and excellence. Congratulations on an unforgettable achievement,” the IOA posted on Facebook.
The 21-year-old Esha, who hails from Hyderabad, held her nerve in a high-pressure final to secure one of the biggest victories of her career, strengthening her credentials as one of India’s leading prospects for the LA28 Olympics.
“I still can’t believe it happened. I was only thinking about focusing on one shot at a time and staying calm throughout the final,” Esha was quoted by Olympics.com.
Esha, who at 13 became India’s youngest national champion, competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics and has now added the ISSF World Cup gold medal in Munich to her growing list of achievements.
