Tashkent, Uzbekistan, May 27, 2026: The First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, OCA Vice President Otabek Umarov, has written to the OCA to extend his sincere condolences on the passing of Raja Randhir Singh.
“It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Raja Randhir Singh, Honorary Life President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Honorary IOC Member and former President of the OCA.
“Please accept my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on behalf of myself and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
“Raja Randhir Singh was one of the most respected and distinguished figures within the Olympic Movement, whose longstanding dedication and invaluable contribution to the development of sport in Asia earned him the admiration and appreciation of the entire Olympic community.
“Throughout his many years of service, he played a significant role in strengthening friendship, solidarity and cooperation among the National Olympic Committees of Asia, while faithfully promoting the fundamental values and ideals of Olympism.
“His wisdom, professionalism and personal qualities left a lasting impression on all those who had the privilege of working alongside him. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations within the Olympic Movement.
“At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones and the entire Olympic Council of Asia family. May his soul rest in peace. With profound respect and sympathy.”
