Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 27, 2026: Mongolia NOC President Battushig Batbold welcomed China’s Ambassador to Mongolia, Shen Minjuan, and her delegation to Olympic House.
“I am pleased to see the growing cooperation between Mongolia and China in the field of sport in recent years,” Battushig, an IOC Member, said.
“I have always believed that the Olympic Movement has a unique power — not only to bring nations together through sport but also to strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and shared development.”
During the meeting, Ambassador Shen highly appreciated the progress of Mongolian sport and the achievements of its athletes, and the two parties exchanged views on future areas of cooperation. They also discussed opportunities for collaboration in sports infrastructure development and the hosting of major international sporting events.
“It was a privilege to present the Mongolian National Olympic Committee’s high distinction, the MNOC Golden Diamond Medal, to Ambassador Shen in recognition of her contribution to strengthening friendship and sports cooperation between Mongolia and China,” Battushig added.
“I am confident that the cooperation between our two countries will continue to grow and reach new heights in the years ahead.”
