Emirates Olympic Committee prepares for Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 25, 2026: The Emirates Olympic Committee has held a series of meetings with sports associations looking ahead to participation at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games from September 19 to October 4.

 

A series of joint coordination meetings were held by the Emirates Olympic Committee represented by the Technical Affairs Committee with sports associations over four days last week. The meetings were either held at the NOC headquarters in Dubai or online.

 

H.E. Dr. Nasser Al-Tamimi, a member of the EOC Board of Directors and Chairman of the Technical Affairs Committee, chaired the meetings.

 

Among the topics of discussion were the importance of updating and delivering a set of data on time, the results of individual athletes and teams at the Asian and international level in 2025 and 2026, plans to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, and the expected results at the Asian Games in Japan.

 

The importance of adhering to the deadlines of registration of athletes for the Asian Games was also emphasised during the meetings.
