Forum on future of Jordanian sports held under patronage of Crown Prince

Amman, Jordan, May 20, 2026: The future of the Jordanian sports system was the topic of discussion at the "Contact 2026" forum held last Sunday, May 17, under the patronage of HRH Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince.

 

The forum’s theme was "Beyond Competition: The Next Step towards a Jordanian Sports Industry."

 

Speakers included the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, who is also Vice President of the Jordan Olympic Committee; Mohammed Alayan, member of the JOC Board of Directors; Faleh Al-Da’aja, Deputy Secretary General of the Jordan Football Association; Saleh Al-Sharabaty, Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medallist and national taekwondo team member; and Abdullah Qutaishat, Vice President of the Jordan Wrestling Federation.

 

The forum discussed the current status of Jordanian sports and prospects for its development in addition to reviewing the future steps necessary to build a sustainable sports industry and enhance the Kingdom’s sports presence at regional and international levels.
