Thimphu, Bhutan, May 20, 2026: Bhutan Olympic Committee’s push to promote sport in schools has been featured prominently in the IOC Annual Report 2025.
The Bhutan Olympic Committee reported that Bhutan’s Sports in School Programme has been featured in the Olympic Solidarity and NOC Services Annual Report 2025 titled “Game On: Igniting the Next Olympiad.”
Published by the IOC, the report presents a broad overview of the initiatives launched by National Olympic Committees and supported by Olympic Solidarity and NOC Relations teams during the first year of the 2025-2028 Plan.
It highlights the important contributions made by NOCs towards a fruitful and eventful year for the global Olympic community.
Bhutan’s feature article, “Class Act: Bhutan’s Quest for Gross National Fitness begins at School,” highlights the country’s ongoing efforts to promote sports and physical activity among young people through school-based programmes and community engagement initiatives.
