Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 18, 2026: The President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee, Battushig Batbold, attended the friendly sports competition entitled “Let’s Unite Through Sport – Let’s Liberate Through Culture” organised by the YES Mongolia NGO.
“It was great to see more than 600 young people from 21 provinces and nine districts participate in five sports, creating a good atmosphere of youth energy, unity and friendship,” Battushig posted on social media.
“As a member of the Board of Directors of YES Mongolia NGO, I participated in this event and supported all the participants with the organization's President, L. Dashdemberel, and his colleagues.
“It was also nice to meet the guys from the basketball team who came from Dundgovi aimag (province) and talk freely about sports development, youth participation and future opportunities.”
The IOC Member concluded: “Sport isn't just about competition — it's a powerful environment that unites young people, shares healthy lifestyles and creates common values.
“I wish all the best to YES Mongolia NGO colleagues who organised this wonderful event, and good luck to all YES members.”
