Hong Kong, China, May 18, 2026: The 69th Festival of Sport continues to bring excitement to Hong Kong under the theme “One Line of Energy, A City in Motion”, offering a diverse lineup of engaging and interactive sports activities for the community.

One of the festival’s enhanced events, “Shuttlecock Fun Day”, was successfully held on Sunday, May 17, at Dragon Centre, attracting families and members of the public to experience the excitement and unique appeal of shuttlecock in a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

From noon onwards, the venue buzzed with enthusiastic participants as crowds explored the various shuttlecock-themed activity zones. Visitors took turns challenging shuttlecock shooting games, joining interactive sessions at the badminton nets and enjoying hands-on shuttlecock experiences.

Many children eagerly tried the sport under the guidance of professional coaches, learning basic techniques while enjoying the fun of the game.

The event also featured live shuttlecock demonstrations by athletes, who showcased impressive freestyle moves and ball-control skills, drawing enthusiastic crowds. Many participants said the activity gave them a stronger appreciation of shuttlecock as a sport that requires agility and coordination, while offering both fun and challenge, making it an ideal activity for the whole family to enjoy together.

A dedicated family activity zone was also set up on-site, allowing parents and children to join interactive games and themed activities beyond sports, while spending quality weekend time together. Many families stopped to take photos and capture memorable moments, fully reflecting the vibrant community spirit promoted by the Festival Of Sport.

The festival will continue to present a series of exciting activities throughout May, including competitions, sports experiences and fun day events for the public.

Upcoming enhanced events include “Battle of the Minds – Chinese Chess Fun Day” on May 30 and Family Sports Game on May 31.

The 69th Festival of Sport runs from April to August. More than 50 sports activities are taking place across Hong Kong to promote sport for all, encourage active community participation and inspire the public to enjoy the physical and mental benefits of an active lifestyle.
