Kathmandu, Nepal, May 17, 2026: The President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to the Chairman of the National Olympic Academy, Tej Bahadur Gurung, who left for Olympia, Greece on Saturday, May 16.
Gurung will be participating in the 19th International Session for National Olympic Academies and National Olympic Committee delegates, which begins on Sunday, May 17 and will continue until May 24.
Also present at the farewell ceremony were NOC Vice President Ms. Jyoti Rana and NOC Secretary General Ram Krishna Shrestha.
Meanwhile NOC Secretary General Shrestha was also congratulated by the NOC on his election as Secretary General of the South Asian Weightlifting Federation.
“This achievement is truly well deserved and reflects your hard work, commitment, and remarkable contribution to the development of weightlifting in the region,” posted the NOC.
