Astana, Kazakhstan, May 11, 2026: The National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan hosted an educational seminar on gender equality in sport in Shymkent, a city in the south of the country.
The seminar was held with the support of the OCA and the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity Programme, and brought together athletes, coaches and sports professionals to discuss equal opportunities and inclusion in sport.
The programme focused on topics including athletes’ transition into coaching, sports medicine, psychology, and career development.
It also featured an interactive discussion aimed at encouraging participants to share ideas and initiatives related to gender equality in sports.
