Kuwait City, Kuwait, May 5, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia has sent an official invitation to National Olympic Committees for two youth camps to be held in cooperation with the International Skating Union.
The youth camps are part of the OCA/Olympic Solidarity Continental Programme.
Details of the camps, together with a list of qualifying criteria, have been sent to the NOCs and members of the ISU by the OCA Director General, Husain Al Musallam, and the ISU Director General, Colin Smith.
The two OCA-ISU Asian Development Camps are:
*Asian Short Track Speed Skating Youth Camp, Harbin, China from July 20-27, 2026 (arrive July 19, depart July 27)
*Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp, Harbin, China from July 28 to August 3, 2026 (arrive July 27, depart August 3-4)
“We kindly request all NOCs to coordinate with their respective National Federations and initiate the registration process at the earliest convenience. Please note that the deadline for submission of applications is May 25, 2026 for both camps,” the OCA’s Director of NOC Relations and Development Programme, Mr. Wissam Trkmani, said in a circular.
*2026 OCA - ISU Asian Short Track Speed Skating Youth Camp, Harbin, China, from July 19-27.
Each NOC is entitled to participate with the following based on the Selection Criteria List enclosed (Appendix 1):
*Two young athletes (age category: born between January 1, 2008 and July 1, 2012). One boy and one girl (exceptionally, with the approval of the OCA/ISU, the following configuration is allowed: two athletes of the same gender).
*The OCA/ISU welcome athletes who are aiming to participate in the Dolomiti Valtellina 2028 Winter Youth Olympic Games, Almaty 2029 Asian Winter Games and the French Alps 2030 Winter Olympic Games.
*One coach per NOC
*The key dates are as follows:
*Application submission deadline: May 25, 2026
*Logistics arrangements: June 1, 2026
*Arrival of all athletes and coaches: July 19, 2026
*Asian Short Track Speed Skating Youth Camp: July 20-27, 2026
*Departure: July 27
*OCA/ISU will bear the expenses for full-board accommodation, economy class air tickets for two athletes and one coach and local transportation.
*Registration and visa: The Harbin Organising Committee will support all delegates to obtain the necessary entry visa to China after finalising all registrations.

*Two young athletes (age category: Born between July 2, 2008 and July 1, 2013): One boy and one girl (exceptionally, with the approval of the OCA/ISU, the following configuration is allowed: two athletes of the same gender)
*The OCA/ISU welcome athletes that are aiming to participate in the Dolomiti Valtellina 2028 Winter Youth Olympic Games, Almaty 2029 Asian Winter Games and the French Alps 2030 Winter Olympic Games.
*We welcome back previous participants who were part of the 2025 OCA Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp.
*One coach/NOC.
