Sanya, China, April 28, 2026: One of the most important elements of any big event is the accreditation card.
No one can go anywhere without one – and security checks identify the face and title of the person involved to make sure the accreditation cards are genuine and issued by the appropriate authority.
In the case of the Olympic Council of Asia, the heartbeat of the accreditation process is the OCA HQ Hotel – the Sanya Conifer Resort – during the 6th Asian Beach Games.
Mr. Adnan Kabri, Accreditation Manager & IT Support for the OCA, says: “We have in place a very dedicated team who always try to help our OCA Family enjoy a happy and successful time at the Asian Beach Games.
“The accreditation process never stops from long before the Games open until the last day and the closing ceremony. It involves hundreds of people from many different organizations and we want to make them all feel part of the OCA Family.
“If anyone has any issues, we are always here to solve their problems and make sure we have a smooth and friendly Games.”
The data from the OCA HQ Hotel shows the workload of the accreditation centre team, involving over 1,000 cards. Here are the key statistics:
*Olympic Council of Asia: 500+
*International Olympic Committee: 12
*International Federations: 15
*Asian Federations: 35
*World Anti-Doping Agency/International Testing Agency: 4
*National Olympic Committee Gold: 142
*Day Passes issued: 350+ (thru April 28)
With the closing ceremony of the 6th Asian Beach Games due to take place on April 30 at 8pm, expect more visitors to the OCA Accreditation Centre in the last couple of days.
