Bangkok, Thailand, April 25, 2026: His Excellency Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, received His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, in the capital, Bangkok.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance sports cooperation between the two sides in support of the development of the Olympic Movement across the Asian continent, in addition to addressing a number of topics of mutual interest.
His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani also held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand. The meeting reviewed the sporting relations between the Council and the Committee and explored ways to further develop joint cooperation and followed up on preparations for upcoming continental sports events and competitions.
