Indonesia overcome Kyrgyzstan in disciplined 3x3 basketball performance

Sanya, China, April 25, 2026: Indonesia recorded a 16–11 win over Kyrgyzstan in the women’s 3x3 basketball Group C contest at the Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 on Saturday, April 25.

Played at the Sanya Sports Centre Gymnasium, the match unfolded at a measured pace, with both sides initially trading points in a balanced opening phase. Indonesia gradually established control through consistent defensive pressure and improved shot efficiency, building a narrow lead midway through the game.

As the contest progressed, Indonesia showed greater composure in possession, capitalizing on key scoring opportunities while limiting Kyrgyzstan’s chances in transition. Their ability to manage the tempo and maintain structure in attack and defense proved decisive in extending the gap in the closing stages.

Indonesia player Berliian Yesi Triutari expressed satisfaction following the result, emphasizing the team’s mindset during the game. “I feel happy because we won this game,” she said. “Our coach told us to enjoy the game while continuing to fight, and that’s what we did, we played with enjoyment and kept competing.”

She also highlighted the team’s preparation heading into the tournament. “We only prepared for one month. Our coach provided the program, and we followed it step by step,” she added.

The performance underlined Indonesia’s ability to respond effectively under pressure, with the team demonstrating discipline, resilience and growing cohesion throughout the match.

With this result, Indonesia continue their Group C campaign at the Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 with renewed confidence.
