Sanya, China, April 26, 2026: H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, visited the Athletes’ Village at the Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 on Friday, April 24.
The OCA President reviewed athlete services and facilities, commending the high level of organisation and readiness demonstrated by the host city.
The visit began at the Anti-Doping Outreach Station, where the OCA President was briefed on education and awareness initiatives aimed at promoting clean sport. He then proceeded to inspect security operations under the framework of “Guarding the Asian Games,” focusing on measures implemented to ensure athlete safety and event protection.
During the tour, Sheikh Joaan engaged with several athletes across delegations, offering encouragement and extending his best wishes for their performances throughout the Games.
