Taipei, May 12, 2020: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee has been hosting the International Sports Affairs Campus Promotion Tour since 2018 with the aim of inspiring and encouraging university students to become more involved in international sports affairs.
This is achieved by sharing with the students the experience of individuals in the sports industry in special sessions.
The campus promotion tour consists of 10 sessions. The first session this year kicked off on May 6 at the Department of Ball Sports at the University of Taipei.
Prof. Tsung-Min Hung, a former table tennis player and now professor of National Taiwan Normal University and International Fellow from the National Academy of Kinesiology in the United States, shared his journey from athlete to educator.
Other targeted university students range from the Department of Sport, Sport Management, Department of Leisure and Recreation Management. To accomplish the project objective, CTOC has collaborated with 21 universities on this promotion tour programme since 2018.
In addition, with 2020 marked as the 10th anniversary of the International Sports Affairs Training Course, the CTOC will host the course this August.
To comply with the preventive measures for COVID-19, the course will be conducted through a combination of in-class and online sessions. It is the initiative of the CTOC to launch online learning classes.
