Muscat, Oman, April 20, 2026: The Oman Olympic Committee has announced it will support six athletes under the Olympic Solidarity Continental Grants Programme.
A signing ceremony took place last week under the patronage of OOC President H.H. Sayyid Azzan bin Qais Al Said, and was attended by the beneficiary athletes, OOC Board members and representatives of national federations.
The athletes are: Hamza bin Abdullah Al-Jabri (athletics), Umaima bint Harib Al-Hinai and Nibras bin Mohammed Al-Tawqi (taekwondo), Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Ghailani (triathlon), Al-Harith bin Salem Al-Harthi (fencing) and Amer bin Salem Al-Khanarji (weightlifting).
The Continental Support Programme funded by Olympic Solidarity enables National Olympic Committees to prepare their athletes for continental and international competitions through technical and financial support within a four-year framework.
The OOC said the signing of these agreements with the athletes was a milestone moment in their developmental pathway, and represented a qualitative step towards enhancing their readiness to compete at international level.
