Sanya, China, April 20, 2026: Beach volleyball, 3x3 basketball and beach soccer are among the high demand tickets at the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China from April 22-30.
According to organising committee SABGOC, these are the most popular sports among the 14 sports on the programme, which will produce 62 gold medals.
More than 60,000 tickets are on sale. Pricing is extremely accessible, between CNY 30 (USD 4.40) to CNY 200 (USD 29.34), with an average of about CNY 80 (USD 11.73). This allows more residents and visitors to attend events and enjoy the excitement of beach sports firsthand.
Until now, tickets could only be purchased on the official ticketing website and the WeChat mini programme “Sanya 2026 Ticketing”. Sales have now been expanded to include Maoyan, Cool Hainan and Sanya Trust Tour platforms.
Recent sales figures show high demand across several events, with beach volleyball, 3x3 basketball and beach soccer standing out.
Zhang Yue, a representative from the Ticketing Division of the Sanya 2026 Marketing Department, notes that beach volleyball has demonstrated strong popularity because of its competitive excitement and appeal to spectators. Tickets priced from CNY 50 (USD 7.33) to CNY 150 (USD 22) have sold out, even in the preliminary rounds.
Basketball 3x3, the only indoor event at the ABG, is especially popular with younger audiences due to its fast-paced and interactive nature. Beach soccer, played on sand in an energetic, engaging style, also remains highly appealing.
Tickets for events such as beach athletics and sport climbing remain highly sought after, with overall sales continuing to grow.
With the overall competition schedule announced and preparations completed, Sanya 2026 is well prepared to host spectators.
“We hope more residents and visitors will come to the venues to experience the unique charm of beach sports, cheer on athletes from across Asia and share in this spectacular sporting event,” a representative of the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Executive Committee said.
