New Delhi, India, April 19, 2026: The Indian Olympic Association said it was “deeply saddened” by the passing of former IOA President Narayana Ramachandran.
Ramachandran passed away on Thursday, April 16, after a prolonged illness. He was 77.
Ramachandran was IOA President between 2014 and 2017. He also served as President of World Squash from 2008 to 2016.
“The IOA family is deeply saddened by the passing of former IOA President Sri N Ramachandran. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his family,” the IOA posted.
Ramachandran was conferred with the OCA Merit Award at the 35th OCA General Assembly in Da Nang, Vietnam, in 2016.
