Nagoya, Japan, April 19, 2026: The host city of the 20th Asian Games, Nagoya in Aichi prefecture, held the latest leg of the Asian Games Fun Run on Saturday, April 18.
The event was conducted by Asian Games organising committee AINAGOC in partnership with the OCA and Japanese Olympic Committee.
The fun run took place at the newly refurbished Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium and was held on the same day as the stadium’s completion ceremony and commemorative event, attracting many participants and visitors.
A total of 500 participants (331 groups), selected by lottery from 6,795 applications (11,232 people), took part in the event.
Wearing official T-shirts featuring the Games mascot Honohon, participants ran inside the venue that will host the Asian Games opening ceremony on September 19.
The Fun Run started with a ceremony led by:

Following the run, a special ceremony was held featuring remarks from distinguished guests, including:
Mr. Jeans Zhou Jian, Director of Media and Broadcast, OCA
Ms. Mikako Kotani, Executive Board Member, Japanese Olympic Committee
Mr. Hideaki Ohmura, President, AINAGOC
Mr. Ichiro Hirosawa, Acting President, AINAGOC
Actress/Japanese "tarento" Kayoko Okubo also joined a talk session, bringing energy and excitement to the venue.
In addition, an award ceremony for the Art Contest was held, where winners in both upper and lower elementary school categories received certificates and commemorative gifts from the presenters.
All participants received commemorative T-shirts, medals and certificates of completion, making it a memorable and celebratory event.
