Tashkent, Uzbekistan, April 15, 2026: Top officials from the Ministry of Sport and Uzbekistan NOC visited sports schools in the Kamashi and Yakkabag districts to get acquainted with the conditions created for youngsters in the region.
Minister of Sport Adkham Ikramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan NOC and OCA Vice President Otabek Umarov and NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov were accompanied by regional governor Murodjon Azimov during the visit.
Matters discussed included the training schedules of the young athletes, new projects being implemented in sports schools and plans to get more people in the 16 to 30 years age bracket involved in sport.
As part of the visit, exhibition events were held at the sports schools with the participation of Olympic, World and Asian champions in boxing, wrestling, taekwondo and judo.
These demonstrations left an indelible memory on the young audience.
