Nagoya, Japan, April 14, 2026: Local children have captured the magic of the Asian Games in a painting competition based on Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
Organising committee AINAGOC has announced the results of the painting competition under the two themes of favourite sport and emblem/mascot of the 20th Asian Games, which will take place from September 19 to October 4.
Not surprisingly, mascot Honohon features prominently in the work.
“Thank you for all your submissions,” AINAGOC said in a social media post.
“From December 2025 to February 2026, a whopping 246 entries were gathered in the painting contest.
“For each child, these works were overflowing with thoughts about sports and free thinking.”
After a rigorous review, five winners were selected from each of the lower and senior high schools.
“A huge congratulations to all the winners,” AINAGOC said.
“The children’s drawings were filled with the ‘fun of sports’ and the ‘excitement of the competitions’,” AINAGOC added.
