Sanya, China, April 13, 2026: Aquatics is the only sport with more than one discipline at the 6th Asian Beach Games – and both the open water swimming and water polo will be held at the Sanya Bay Haiyue Square Venue Cluster.
Open water swimming is scheduled from April 25-27, with gold medals awarded daily – the women’s 5km on April 25, the men’s 5km on April 26 and the mixed team event, involving a 4x1500m relay, on April 27.
Water polo will take place over eight days from April 22, with the women’s round-robin final match on April 24 and the men’s on April 29.
The water polo venue is 4.5km from the Athletes’ Village and will have one competition pool and two training/warm-up pools. The pools are 15m x 12.5m and 2m deep.
