Phnom Penh, Cambodia, April 11, 2026: The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia will mark the third anniversary of the 2023 SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games on the big screen, the Khmer Times reports.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games will be screened at selected cinemas, offering the public a chance to relive one of the nation’s proudest sporting achievements.

The initiative also aims to raise funds in support of Cambodia’s athletes as they prepare for the 2028 Olympic Games.

A limited number of free preview screenings will be held on May 5 – three years to the day of the SEA Games opening ceremony. From May 8, tickets will be available priced at $3 and $5, with proceeds going towards the Olympic campaign.

Organisers have extended an open invitation to all Cambodians, including performers, volunteers and organisers who contributed to the ceremonies, as well as athletes and members of the public.

Whether they experienced the events in person or not, audiences are encouraged to attend and share in the celebration once more. The re-release is expected to draw strong interest from fans eager to revisit the vibrant performances and emotional highlights that defined the historic occasion.

The programme serves several purposes. It seeks to honour Cambodia’s long-awaited hosting of the SEA Games after 64 years, while also reigniting national pride with the message that Khmer people can achieve remarkable success. It also reflects a desire to see similar large-scale events return in the future.
